The Race begins on High Street in Front of our County Courthouse at an elevation of 6,500 ft.  The first leg is appx. 13 mile bike ride to an elevation of 8,300 ft.  The next leg is a 5 mile run to 9,500 ft.  The next leg is a cross country ski to 10,700 ft.  The last leg is a snowshoe to 11,301 ft. which is the top of Mt. Taylor.  On a clear day you will be able to see 100 miles, but no time to look...you must reverse your course and race back down the mountain.
